|Hardware on the rise in Berlin, the community is stronger than ever & we’re back for another batch!
Our Hardware.co Batch #4 may have only had their demoday only a few months ago, but we’re already back and ready to launch Batch #5 – applications are open now! It’s perfect timing, really – hardware startups in Berlin are killing it right now. The community here is stronger than ever, funding is on the rise and now Germany’s leading industrial investors are taking notice. It’s against this backdrop that we’re launching our next batch with an even stronger focus on industry-specific applications.
Who we’re looking for
This year, we’re on the hunt for early-stage hardware startups in navigation and routing, logistics and supply chain, transport, vehicles, smart mobility, as well as AI in industry maintenance. Selected startups will be joined by leading industry partners who’ll act as mentors in a intensive, community-driven and zero equity accelerator program from February 13th – 27th 2017. Startups based outside Berlin will have part of their travel costs covered. At the end of the accelerator, Hardware.co will bring the Berlin hardware community together for a demoday and pitch-off on February 27th.
Our mission
For those who don’t know the Hardware.co story, here’s a quick refresher: What started in 2013 as a collaboration between betahaus and the Hardware Berlin group has since become a powerful springboard for startups. By fostering relationships with Samsung, BVG and Conrad in the past, and now with Audi, Deutsche Bahn, Bosch and Siemens, we’re using our multi-stakeholder network to turn Berlin into an ecosystem where hardware startups thrive. And that’s exactly what Hardware.co alumni startups continue to do – startups from the previous batches have since taken on partner accelerators, pilot partnerships and industrial collaborations. This year’s startups can expect the same opportunities, and more.
